WHAT’S NEW

roux

Roux, 688 Park Avenue, Rochester, NY

Cafe Cibon has closed, but fear not, Roux has opened!  Created by Cibon owner Robin Bannister and her 2 daughters, Ashley, a graduate of the French Culinary Institute, and Pualina, a certified mixologist, this French bistro is sure to become a Rochester fixture.  The authentic French cuisine, the wine selections, and the drink choices will keep you coming back for more.  Open for brunch, lunch and supper.

benrus

Benrus Rochester, Culver Road Armory, 145 Culver Road, Rochester, NY

Benrus has come to Rochester in the Culver Road Armory.  The Benrus brand began in 1921 with three ambitious brothers.  With a rich heritage, the re-launch of BENRUS watches, and introduction of bags and backpacks have inspired a new generation.  The utilitarian style and military look of the original watches are stylistically represented in the fashion details of all their products. Each time piece and bag is branded US Military, as a nod to its past, but offers a contemporary fashion look that is unique to the market. A great deal of thought as well as rigorous testing goes into every product before the name BENRUS is put on it. x

Vive Bistro and Bakery, 130 East Avenue, Rochester, NY

Vive Bistro and Bakery, 130 East Avenue, Rochester, NY

At the newly opened  Vive Bistro and Bakery, you’ll find a little bit of France in the heart of Rochester, NY.  Their food is inspired by the simple fare offered in neighborhood bistros from Paris to Provence – with a modern twist.  Its a vegan and vegetarian restaurant receiving rave reviews.  At Vive, fruits, vegetables, nuts and grains take center stage. Whether you choose lightly filled crêpes, a hearty stew, or a decadent tart, it is their pleasure to serve you plates based on seasonal produce.  They are currently serving lunch daily 11am-3pm and will soon begin dinner service.  The ownership team’s belief is that by offering hearty and robust, or simple and satisfying dishes that are moderately priced, they will inspire people to transition to a diet that is kinder to their bodies, the planet and those with whom we share it.  To that end, we pledge that every dish is 100% plant powered, and always will be.  Kindness and laughter are also one of the Vive spécialités de la maison.
